Renewable Scholarship Information and Forms

 

Each Fall a renewable $500 scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman.

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  1. be a declared mathematics or mathematics education major
  2. score at least 600 on the mathematics portion of the SAT's, with a total of at least 1150
  3. be ranked in the top fifth of his/her class
  4. send a typed letter of application, including interests, activities, and plans for the future
  5. have two recommendation forms sent, at least one of which from a mathematics teacher, commenting on potential for success, leadership skills, and work ethic.

Application Deadline:  Last Friday in February
Decision will be made by:  March 15

 To maintain the scholarship, the recipient must:

  1. remain a declared mathematics or mathematics education major
  2. maintain at least a 3.30 QPA in mathematics
  3. maintain at least a 3.00 QPA overall
